Respite Care Manager

Overview:

Quiet Waters is seeking a compassionate and experienced Respite Care Manager to oversee our respite care program and ensure that individuals/families touched by disability and volunteers receive the necessary support to maintain their well-being serving or being served creating a discipleship culture. 

Responsibilities:

  • Program Development: Develop and implement a comprehensive respite care program that meets the needs of individuals with disabilities and their families (as well as those serving).

  • Respite Care Coordination: Coordinate and communicate respite care services to individuals/families and volunteers  including -  identifying volunteers, matching participants with volunteers, and scheduling the respite care programming.

  • Life Skills Classes: Coordinate and communicate comprehensive educational life-skill classes to increase practical knowledge and application to be give-back to the Kingdom. 

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that respite care services meet high standards of quality and safety and incorporate discipleship throughout events.

  • Staff Training: Train and supervise respite care staff, volunteers, and caregivers.

  • Family Support: Provide support and resources to families utilizing respite care services.

  • Community Outreach: Build and maintain relationships with community partners, including healthcare providers, schools, and social service agencies.

  • Budget Management: Develop and manage ministry budgets for the respite care program.

  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of the respite care program and identify areas for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in special education, counseling, human services, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities or their families.

  • Strong understanding of respite care services and their benefits.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with families and caregivers.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Passion for helping individuals with disabilities and their families.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in special education, counseling or a related field.

  • Experience managing a respite care program.

  • Certification in caregiving or a related field.

Compensation and Benefits: Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. 

  • The organization is unable to offer insurance benefits at this time. 

  • Cell Phone allowance/reimbursement. 

  • PTO policy (Paid Time Off): PTO is for full time staff. After 90 days of employment, the employee is granted 10 PTO days for the year. 10 PTO days are granted each subsequent year and up to two unused PTO days can be carried over from the previous year (so there will be the potential for between 10-12 PTO days per year after the first year). Paid holidays include: New Year’s Day, Good Friday, 4th of July, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
